Two area boys recognized for Eagle efforts

Grand Columbia Council hosts annual dinner in Ellensburg

Two Lower Yakima Valley boys were among Grand Columbia Council scouts recognized for becoming Eagle Scouts on Saturday.

Nathaniel Mayo of Zillah and Kevin Forrister of Prosser were joined by seven others recognized for reaching the scouting organization's highest rank during the council's annual dinner.

The others earning the rank from around the state include Colin Rise of Mount Vernon, Christopher Christopherson of Coulee City, Alan Nordine of Electric City, Warren Barnes of East Wenatchee, Ledger Parrish of Leavenworth, and Parker Barduhn and Tanner Hebdon, both of Yakima.

All earned their Eagle status in the last year.
