Oregon wildlife officials seek information on geese killing

Some snow geese harvested, other's left to rot

— The Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Division is asking for the public's assistance in locating the person(s) responsible for killing several snow geese.

The geese were discovered on private property on Monday, Nov. 12.

The Fish and Wildlife trooper who responded to the call believes the geese were killed a few days prior.

The trooper located several snow geese that had been harvested and discarded into a drainage ditch.

Some of the snow geese had been processed but several had been left to waste.

A reward is being offered by the Oregon Hunters Association through the Turn-In-Poachers program for any information leading to an arrest in this or any other wildlife case.

Callers can remain anonymous; the number is 800-452-7888.

Anyone with information can call the hotline or trooper Brian Wickert at 541-889-6469 Ext. 4771.
