From left, Susan Copenhaver, Nancy Dearborn, Simon Copenhaver and Calvin Copenhaver share a chuckle as Grandpa Ed Dearborn’s 2-foot putt turns away from a hole that was shaped like Mt. Hood. They all walked a way from the hole mumbling about 5s and 6s.

Some things just seem logical. For instance, family fun at a family fun center.
That’s the way the Dearborn-Copenhaver family saw it Wednesday when they went to the Cherry Hill Family Fun Center in Granger to play miniature golf.
Ed and Nancy Dearborn came a long way to play at the Dino Putt course. They live in retirement in Hiawassee, Georgia.
The Dearborns were in the Yakima Valley to visit their daughter Susan Copenhaver and her family. Susan, her husband Adam and their children, Simon and Calvin, live in Sunnyside.
Ed Dearborn is retired from a career in Christian Broadcasting. He helped Shortwave International Radio, based in Okeechobee, Fla. reach out to the world with Gospel programming in seven different languages, including English and Spanish.
Meanwhile, their daughter Susan married Adam Copenhaver and eventually made their way to the Valley. Adam is the pastor of Grace Brethren Church in Mabton.
