Grandview woman hurt in car crash

— A Grandview woman was injured yesterday when the car in which she was riding crashed with another about 10 miles north of here.

The injured woman was Carly Knoth, 34. She was taken to Sunnyside Astria Hospital.

The 7:05 a.m. crash took place on State Highway 241 at milepost 10, Washington State Patrol Trooper M. Benavidez said.

According to Benavidez, driver Donna M. Langworthy, 83, of Sunnyside was driving a tan 2016 Cadillac XTS four-door, and Knoth was her passenger.

She turned south from a driveway onto the highway in front of another vehicle.

Benavidez said a red 1987 Audi A4 four-door, driven by Danny M. Moreno, 28, of Sunnyside struck the Langworthy vehicle from behind.

Benavidez said both drivers were using their seatbelts, but it’s unknown if Knoth was using hers.

Both vehicles sustained reportable damage and had to be towed from the scene. Neither driver was injured.

Benavidez said Langworthy was cited for failure to yield right of way.
