GOLDENDALE At the onset of the 2018 legislative session Monday, State Rep. Gina McCabe assumed a new role as the lead Republican on the House Labor and Workplace Standards Committee.
McCabe, a business owner and formerly the assistant ranking Republican on the committee, said her experience as a businesswoman gives her an edge when it comes to considering bills that would impact employers and their employees.
“I’ve always said being a business owner provides you with a unique set of skills invaluable to lawmaking,” said McCabe, R-Goldendale. “I’m looking forward to growing into this new leadership role, and working on policies that will remove impediments to job growth and help employers foster healthy and productive work environments.”
