Mustangs split opening games

— The Mustangs opened the 2018-19 boys basketball season with a 68-65 victory over Ephrata last Friday, and suffered a 60-71 loss to Wapato the following night.

The game against the Tigers was tight, according to Prosser coach Toby Cox, who said neither team gained better than a 5-point margin at any time.

Haden Hicks led the Mustangs both nights, scoring 31 points and collecting 10 boards Friday, and 22 points the following night.

Saul Quinones scored 15 points against the Wolves, and Calvin Majaars tallied 10.

Prosser travels to Ellensburg this coming Friday and hosts Quincy the following night.
