Renton man injured in crash

A 25-year-old from Renton is recovering from injuries sustained in a Sunday morning crash.

Bernard M. Kasongo was westbound on Interstate 82 at Milepost 69 when he failed to negotiate a curve and his 2015 Toyota Corolla left the road and rolled at about 4 a.m., the Washington State Patrol said.

He was transported to a Sunnyside hospital for his injuries, troopers said.

It is believed the cause was inattention and driving with wheels off the roadway. Kasongo was cited for second-degree negligent driving, troopers said.
