Benton City woman unhurt in Friday crash

— A Benton City woman walked away from a minor three-car crash last Friday night.

Sandra L. Knighton, 60, was not injured when her 2004 Ford F250 pickup was struck from behind, the Washington State Patrol reported. She was towing a travel trailer at the time of the crash 5 miles west of Ellensburg on Interstate 90.

According to the patrol, Jessie M. Ritts, 24, of Selah, rear-ended another car driven by Tyler J. Gibson, 20 of Newcastle. Ritt’s Toyota 4Runner then hit Knighton’s trailer.

Ritt was cited for speeding; neither alcohol nor drugs were factors, the patrol said.
