Calvin Maljaars of the Prosser FFA chapter coaxes his animal into the ring during yesterday’s Central Washington Junior Livestock Show in Toppenish. At right, Lower Valley Livestock 4-H Club member Wyatt Ohler takes a break before herding his swine into the classification ring. Ohler was one of more than 300 children participating in the three-day judging and showmanship event. Today, entries will see selection of grand championships of all classes, and the senior division of lambs, swine and beef fitting and showing will be staged. Below, Prosser FFA Chapter members Brooklyn Schultz and Taylor Wolfe work their swine in the ring during the show’s judging and classification portions. Both earned blue ribbons from the judges.
