Local plead guilty to murder

— A local man will spend 20 years in jail after he was sentenced Friday in a 2015 homicide.

Yoset Dominguez-Serrano, 18 at the time of the 2015 shooting death of 24-year-old Antonio Hernandez-Ledezma, received his sentence Friday in Yakima County Superior Court, records show.

Dominguez-Serrano plead guilty to first-degree pre-meditated murder last month, records show.

He was arrested Feb. 5, 2015 and held on $1 million bail in connection with Hernandez-Ledezma’s disappearance, records show.

Hernandez-Ledezma had a warrant for his arrest on charges of second-degree child rape after allegedly impregnating one of Dominguez-Serrano’s relatives, records show.

Officials later determined Hernandez-Ledezma was not the father, records show.

Dominguez-Serrano told investigators he intended to turn Hernandez-Ledezma into Sunnyside police for the alleged rape, records show. He said a fight broke out and admitted firing two shots into Hernandez-Ledezma.

A hiker found Hernandez-Ledezma’s body eight months later in a ravine near Zillah, records show.
