Man injured in crash

— A local man is recovering from injuries he sustained in a single-car crash yesterday.

At 5:55 a.m., Jason E. Armstrong was eastbound on Interstate 82 in a 2006 Nissan Sentra when he fell asleep and the car left the roadway, the Washington State Patrol said.

The car flipped over at Milepost 107, troopers said. Neither drugs nor alcohol were involved.

Armstrong was taken to Trios Health for treatment, the patrol said. He was wearing a seat belt.

He was charged with second-degree negligent driving, troopers said.
