WASHINGTON The third annual Congressional Art Competition for the 4th District, is now open for all high school students in Central Washington to participate.
Sponsored by Rep. Dan Newhouse, R-Sunnyside, the contest is offered each spring as part of the Congressional Institute nationwide high school visual art competition.
Last year’s winner was Audra Coulson from Wahluke High School in Mattawa for entry, “Soul Sisters.”
The winning entry will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol, and this year’s winner will receive two airline tickets to visit Washington, D.C., to attend a reception hosted by the Congressional Institute.
The Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students in the 4th District. The winning artwork is also featured at House.gov.
