Flags lowered for Peres

— Gov. Jay Inslee is directing state and U.S. flags be lowered to half-staff to honor the memory of Shimon Peres, former President and Prime Minister of Israel.

Peres recently died.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset today.

Inslee issued the order following a similar direction from President Barack Obama.
