Steelhead may be kept

— State Department of Fish and Wildlife officials have reopened Ringold Hatchery steelhead fishing on the Columbia River.

The fishery reopens Thursday, officials said.

Fishermen may keep Ringold fish with both adipose and ventral fins clipped from the U.S. Highway 395 bridge in Pasco upstream to the old Hanford townsite’s wooden powerline towers.

Steelhead may be kept until Dec. 31.
