Bickleton host district meet

Powers and Gannon win two events each

— The Bickleton track team competed at 1B district 5 championships Saturday.

Lyle-Wishram boys won the meet with 188 points. Bickleton was second with 145 points.

On the girls side, Trout Lake was first with 166 points. The Pirates were fourth with 58 points.

Joseph Cummings was fourth in the 100 meter dash with a 12.11.

Troy Roberts finished in third with a 2:20.44 in the 800.

Andrew Gannon captured the 1,600 and 3,200 with times of 4:57.72 and 11:04.56, respectively.

Michael Gannon was runner up in the 3,200 with a 12:01.18.

Nathan Powers swept the hurdles. Taking first in the 110 and 300 with times of 15.59 and 43.78, respectively.

Andrew Gannon grabbed second place in the 300 hurdles with a 45.68.

The Pirates 400 and 1,600 relay teams both finished in second place.

The 400 relay had a time of 50.36, while the 1,600 team clocked in at 3:48.09.

Joseph Cummings was third in javelin with a distance of 131-06.

Michael Bowers finished seventh in discus with a throw of 79-03.

Bowers was 14th in shot put with a distance of 24-09.

Kyle Underwood beat out teammate Powers in the high Jump for first place.

Underwood cleared 5-8, while Powers made it over 5-4.

Michael Gannon and Troy Roberts were 3-4 in pole vault. Gannon cleared 9-06, with Roberts getting over 9.

In long jump, Underwood was runner-up with a distance of 19-06.5.

Riley Brown grabbed second place in triple jump with a 36-03.

On the girls side, Kira Harvey had the fastest mark with a 13.79.

Hannah Delbrook finished second in the 400 in 1:16.23.

Katrina Cardenas clocked in at 16:47 in the 3,200 for first place.

Bickleton’s 400 relay was runner-up with a 1:00.38. The 800 relay was third with a time of 2:12.76.

In field events, Emily Hanson and Katrina Cardenas grabbed places 7-8 in shot put with distances of 25-06.5 and 24-05.4, respectively.

Hanson was sixth in discus with a throw of 81-07.

Harvey was second in pole vault after clearing 7.

Teammate Hannah Delbrook was seventh in long jump with a distance of 12-08.

The Pirates compete at 1B district 5/6 regional tournament at 4 p.m. Friday in Wapato.
