Repair contract approved

— The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a contract for repairs to downstream navigation lock gates.

The gates are at Little Goose Lock and Dam on the lower Snake River.

The approximately $2.18-million contract was competitively awarded to Dix Corporation of Spokane. The purpose of the work is to increase reliability and safe lock gate operations at Little Goose Dam.
