Darlene G. Krumsick, 79, of Yakima, and formerly of Grandview, went to be in the arms of her Heavenly Father, Sunday, July 24, 2016, in Yakima.,
Darlene was born March 12, 1937, in Lakeview, S.D., the daughter of Gertrude (Schryvers) and Alvin Eucker.
She received her education in Valentine, Neb.
On April 16, 1955, Darlene married the love of her life, Carl “Bud” Krumsick, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grandview. Following their marriage, Bud and Darlene made Grandview their home.
Darlene worked and retired as a baker for the Grandview School District.
She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grandview, WA.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling, holiday baking and summer trips to the beach at Seaside, Ore. Last but not least, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren.
Darlene is survived by two daughters, Carla (David) Millin of Yakima, and Kami (Chris) Dominguez of Sunnyside; one son, Ron Krumsick of Yakima; four grandchildren, Travis Millin, Trent Millin, Kyle Lucas and Kayla Lucas; one great-granddaughter on the way; and one brother, Richard Eucker of San Diego, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl “Bud” Krumsick; and four brothers, Howard, Art, Don and Bob.
Viewing and visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m., Thursday, July 28, and from 8 – 9 a.m., Friday, July 29, at the Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Graveside funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, July 29, at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
