Prosser schools test water supply

— The water is safe to drink in local schools.

The Prosser School District completed voluntary water testing July 1 in all of its buildings. The results show water systems in all district buildings are below federal thresholds for copper and lead and safe for consumption.

The district conducted similar testing in 2004, which also showed its water was safe.

The latest testing results released this month are available at the school district administration office, 1126 Meade Ave.
