Schools plan reading celebration

— “Read Across America” Week means dress up days and reading fun in the Grandview School District.

Beginning March 1, students in the district’s elementary schools will not only be reading, they will have special dress-up days.

At Arthur H. Smith Elementary School the fun includes reading activities and dress up days. Starting with Seuss Silly Day on Tuesday, students are encouraged to wear their clothes backwards, inside-out or mismatched. Wednesday, is Twin Day and Thursday is Hat Day.

At McClure Elementary School all classrooms will have a Dr. Seuss Read Aloud time. Tuesday is Pajama Day. At 6:30 p.m. that day the school will have its Dr. Seuss reading night.

Wednesday will be Wacky Wednesday and Thursday students will celebrate Crazy Sock Day.

There is no school on Friday.
