Couple says vote ‘yes’ for levy

Please join us in voting “yes” for the replacement maintenance and operations levy Feb. 9. The Sunnyside School District currently has the third lowest school tax in Yakima County, and will continue to be the third lowest if the levy passes.

A “yes” vote will tremendously benefit our students and keep our school tax rate low. By voting “yes,” the new tax will be $2.08 per $1,000 of assessed property value. If defeated, the tax will increase to $2.22 per $1,000 of assessed property value.

Passing the replacement Maintenance and Operation school levy will provide funding for curriculum, educational technology, safety and security, student activities and enriched academics for our students and schools in Sunnyside.

Let’s vote “yes” for Sunnyside School District’s school levy, and give Sunnyside’s youth the best opportunity to succeed.
