Woman injured in local crash

— A Kennewick woman is recovering from injuries she suffered in a one-car crash yesterday morning near Sunnyside.

Chaylynn D. McPherson, 30, of Kennewick was driving a 1999 Ford Contour westbound on Interstate 82 when she lost control and the vehicle flipped and landed on the highway shoulder at milepost 70.

That’s according to the State Patrol, which said McPherson was taken to Kadlec Medical Center for treatment. The vehicle she drove was deemed a total loss.

The State Patrol charged McPherson with second degree negligent driving and noted she was wearing a seat belt. Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash, troopers said.
