Driver cited in crash

— A man riding a scooter was injured yesterday when he crashed into a dump truck, the State Patrol said.

Glenn R. Brandenburg, 59, was riding southbound on a 2009 Skenk scooter on state Highway 823 when he attempted to change a lane, troopers said. Brandenburg hit the side of a 2000 Ford dump truck driven by Tatiana T. Jack, 26, of Yakima.

Brandbenburg was wearing a helmet, and Jack was wearing a seat belt, troopers said. Alcohol was not a factor.

Brandbenburg was injured and taken to Yakima Memorial Hospital, troopers said. He was charged with an illegal lane change.
