Adela Rangel, 52, and passengers Lupe F. Vigil, 59, of Pasco, and Maria E. Flores, 54, of Benton City, were transported to Kittitas Valley Healthcare in Cle Elum, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Rangel’s vehicle was rear-ended on the interstate near Milepost 78, six miles east of town, the patrol said.

The driver of the second vehicle was Diane L. Hutton, 64, of Renton, the patrol said.

Following the initial impact, Hutton’s vehicle was struck from behind by a third car driven by Brittney R. Paisley, 32, of Seattle.
