Herb growing demo to be featured tomorrow at Prosser Farmers Market

PROSSER – Interested in learning how to grow culinary herbs in your back yard?

Prosser Farmers Market vendors Ridgeview Floral and Bug Girl will be hosting an herb garden demonstration this coming Saturday (June 13), at 10 a.m. during the weekend market.

The Saturday market, located at Prosser’s city park, Seventh Street and Sommers Avenue, is open from 8 a.m. to 12 noon through October, according to Linda Hall, market manager.

The Prosser Farmers Market has been in operation for nearly 25 years, and currently includes more than 50 vendors throughout the growing season.

“We are always looking for artisans and crafters who want space in which to sell their projects at market,” Hall said.

In addition to fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers, fresh market shoppers can also purchase fresh breads, cheeses and enjoy wine tasting offered by two local wineries on market day.
