Sunnyside looking for highly capable students

Parents who want to enroll their children in the school district’s highly capable program need to pick up a referral packet from school offices.

In order for students to be considered for the program, parents must submit a completed referral packet and signed permission to test.

Highly capable students are those who perform, or show potential for performing, at significantly advanced academic levels when compared with others of their age, experiences or environments.

The Sunnyside School District will be testing students for the program in February and March.

Parents with questions about the program should contact Special Services Director Cody Gardiner at 509-836-8731.
