‘Anything Goes’ auditions scheduled for April 2-3

YAKIMA – Yakima Valley Community College Playmasters is staging auditions for the musical Anything Goes.

Voice auditions will be held Wednesday, April 2. Dance auditions will be held on Thursday, April 3. All auditions will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Kendall Hall Auditorium on YVCC’s Yakima campus.

This is a lively, fast-paced show with roles for males and females ages 16 to 60. There will also be a few speaking roles throughout the show. Students or community members who sing or dance should consider participating in this musical. No prior acting experience is necessary.

To be considered for lead singing roles those auditioning must prepare 16 bars of a song from the Broadway canon and bring their own sheet music or a CD with the pre-recorded accompaniment. Dress appropriately for movement.

The production will run May 29 through June 1. Callbacks are Friday, April 4 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the auditorium.
