Salvador Ruiz Guzman, 90, passed away Jan. 20, 2013. He was born on April 1, 1922 in Agulilla, Michoacán, Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, two brothers, his wife Herminia and his son Elias Ruiz.

Salvador is survived by three sons, Benigno Ruiz and Benjamin Ruiz, both of Prosser, and Gonzalo Ruiz of California; a daughter, Socorro Bazaldua of Sunnyside; three brothers, Vicente Ruiz of Grandview, Rogelio Ruiz of Sunnyside and Miguel Ruiz of Mexico; five sisters, Trinidad Ruiz and Carmen Guizar, both of Pasco, Julia Cornejo of Sunnyside and Marina Sanchez and Isabel Ruiz, both of Grandview; 23 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a vigil service at 6 p.m., at the Christian Reformed Church in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prosser, with burial to follow in the Prosser Cemetery.
