Ilario "Larry" Sabedra, 55, of Sunnyside passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at his home in Sunnyside.

Larry was born Jan. 9, 1957 in Dallas, Texas to Albert and Nicolasa (Hernandez) Sabedra. Larry received his early education in Dallas before moving to Mabton, where he graduated with the class of 1975.

On Sept. 6, 1980 he married Maria Uvalle in Sunnyside.

Larry worked on the Hanford Project and also recently for Koch Manufacturing in Sunnyside.

Larry enjoyed fishing, sports, playing with his grandchildren who called him "Papa" and watching his favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside.

Larry is survived by his mother, Nicolasa Flores; his wife, Maria (Uvalle) Sabedra; his children, Albert (Heather) Sabedra, Tracy (Marc) Martinez and Erica Sabedra; grandchildren, Reagan, Madison and Emily Sabedra; and siblings, David (Donna) Sabedra of Dallas, Lorenzo (Janie) Sabedra of Sunnyside and Gloria (Lupe) Tellez of Mabton; many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raul Flores.

Viewing and visitation will be held today, Nov. 20, 2012, from 2 to 8 p.m., with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
