Juan Manuel "Moreno" Ochoa, 30, of Mabton, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.

He was born Sept. 2, 1977 in Los Angeles, Calif. to Ramiro and Antonia (Ortiz) Ochoa. He received his education in California.

In 1994, Juan moved to Sunnyside. He was most recently employed by Star Manufacturing and had worked for Valley Manufacturing.

He was a member of the United Kennel Club raising Blue Nose Pit Bull dogs.

He cherished time spent with his children and family.

He enjoyed riding horses, training roosters, bull riding, fishing and drinking a cold Bud.

He is survived by his fiancée, Alicia Alvarez; son, Juan M. Ochoa Jr.; daughter, Leslie Ann Ochoa, all of Mabton; his father, Ramiro Ochoa of California; and siblings, Benigno Magdaleno (Anna), Leticia Valdovinos (Moises), both of California, Claudia Torres (Ricardo), Ramiro Ochoa Jr. (Liliana), Jose M. Ochoa (Minerva), all of Arizona, and Victor Ochoa (Esmeralda) of Sunnyside.

Viewing will be held today, May 8, 2008, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. A Rosary will be recited today at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside. Viewing and visitation will be held Friday, May 9, 2008, from 9 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
