Partida, Visser low scorers for Sunnyside girls

KENNEWICK - Sarasa Partida and Renea Visser posted the two lowest individual rounds for the Sunnyside High School girls golf team at yesterday's 3A Columbia Basin League POD match.

Competing at the par-65 Tri-City Country Club, Partida and Visser carded rounds of 104 and 114, respectively.

Partida toured the front nine with a 49, absorbing a 55 after the turn. Visser also played the front nine better than the back, going 55-59.

Tonnelle Driesen and Marissa Martin rounded out the scoring for the Lady Grizzlies. Driesen shot a 140-76-64, while Martin carded a 145-71-74.

The Lady Grizzlies brought up the rear yesterday at the seven-school league match, tallying a team score of 503.

West Valley, behind medalist Liz Tikriti's 15-over-par 80, won top team honors with a team score of 356. Eastmont was 11 strokes back for the second place finish.
