Kimbrell - Rojas



Bill D. Kimbrell, 73, of Sunnyside died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, at Sunnyside Community Hospital.

He was born Aug. 2, 1933, in Logan, Kansas to Roy W. and Hazel Dell (Cecil) Kimbrell. He served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his daughter, Jeanie Craft of Fall City; a stepdaughter, Karen Phillips of Moses Lake; a stepson, Bruce Miller of Omak; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; his brother, LeRoy Kimbrell of Prosser; and a sister, Melinda Trelstad of Selah.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen; several sisters; and one brother.

Memorial services will be held at Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006, at 1 p.m. at Sunnyside VFW Post #3482, 615 North Ave., Sunnyside, to be followed by a no host get together at Golden Pheasant Restaurant in Sunnyside. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to cancer or diabetes research. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


Juanita H. Rojas, 76, of Granger died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006. Juanita was born June 23, 1930, in Williamsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Juan and Librada (Vasquez) Hernandez. On October 9, 1948, she married Pedro G. Rojas in Toppenish.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Pedro G. Rojas; 15 children, Pedro (Viola) Rojas Jr. of Kennewick, Irma (Uriel) Mendoza of Granger, Celina (Ricardo) Garza of Yakima, Salvador Rojas of Bakersfield, Calif., Delia (Jose G.) Orozco of Zillah, Norma (Jose G.) Hernandez of Pasco, Abel (Eva) Rojas of Spokane, Juan Jose Rojas of Granger, Daniel (Coletta) Rojas and Arnold Rojas, both of Kennewick, Maria Isabel (Mario) Sanchez of Mission, Texas, Linda (Ruben) Peña of Auburn, Rebecca (Angel) Balderas of Wapato, Cruz (Brock) Rojas of Seattle, and Maria (Jeff) Sears of

Yakima; 42 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Theresa Moreno, Margaret Rodriguez, Susie Valle, Amanda Solis and Guadalupe Rocha; and three brothers, John Manuel Hernandez, Rodolfo Hernandez and Juan Hernandez.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Foster, Morris and Ramiro Hernandez; three grandchildren, Thomas Rojas, Tatiana Christina Sears and Emily Lorraine Brandt.

Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, from 3 to 8 p.m. with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006, at 10 a.m. at Zillah Resurrection Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Zillah Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
