Lawrence A. Miller, 82, of Sunnyside passed away Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, at his home.

He was born May 7, 1923 to Lewis and Elsie (Custus) Miller in Council Bluff, Iowa. Larry graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs in 1942 and was Cadet Captain in ROTC and was awarded commendations at graduation. On June 18, 1952 he married Diane Bonsall of California. Larry worked at North Island, San Diego and Hawaii on airplanes during World War II, where he built and flew Navy planes. Larry later owned and operated Valley Briners Company in Sunnyside. He loved flying, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by four children, Celise A. Miller of Los Angeles, Calif., Bart Lewis Miller of Boise, Idaho, Dana Miller of Springfield, Mo. and Star Miller of Victor, Idaho; three sisters, Darlene Miller Sulhoff of Council Bluff, Lilymae Miller Jones and husband, Virgil, of Apple Valley, Calif., Loretta Miller McKinney and husband, Robert (Mac), of Lake Isabella, Calif.; and one brother, Dale L. Miller and wife, Margaret, of Liberty, Mo.

A Private Service will be held at a later date.
