Over the Hill gang to celebrate at Holiday Social

With Little Orphan Annie living happily ever after with Daddy Warbucks, Grace and Sandy, the cast of Over the Hill Theatricals can put the musical Annie behind them and take a well-deserved break.

The acting troupe will celebrate at a holiday social Friday, Dec. 9, at the Prosser home of Susan Webber. An annual get-together, the actors exchange gifts, nibble on finger food they bring to share and rehash their stage moments. And they have plenty of those over which to reminisce.

In their latest play, 51 parts were taken by at least 20 actors to delight audiences who packed the Sunnyside High School auditorium for the November performances.

A cast party after the final curtain turned into a business meeting long enough to determine a slate of officers who agreed to be on the Over the Hill Theatricals board for 2006.

They are Sheila Hazzard, president; June Sanderson, vice president; Susan Webber, business manager; Betty Minnich, secretary; Donna Sartin and Mike Reynolds, carry-over board members; and Lloyd Hazzard and Bob Taft, two-year board members.

The troupe received the good news that Pete Sartin has donated a trailer, which will be used to store stage properties. Susan Webber was helping store costumes and props Monday of this week.

"We take a few months off now," said Webber. "We try to have a social of some type every other month, but we won't sit down and start to think about a new production until spring."
