Toppenish firm earns Port's building bid

Work is already underway on a new operations office building to be located next to the Sunnyside Port District's new sequencing batch reactor, to be located at the Port's Midvale Road wastewater treatment plant.

The new 4,000 square foot building is being constructed by Sevigny Construction of Toppenish, which submitted the low bid for the $45,000 project.

The operation building will be used to manage the reactor facility, now also under construction at the Port's industrial wastewater treatment plant on Midvale Road.

The new building is expected to be completed by mid-November to coincide with the reactor's completion, according to Amber Hansen, Port manager.
