TV programming

I read the personal column by Melissa Browning on Feb. 4 about television programming and I agree with her 100 percent. I also was saddened by the death of Captain Kangaroo. My daughter watched him everyday when she was a little girl. He was a wonderful man and she learned a lot from his program. It's too bad we don't have another program like his for the children of today.

I pay for cable, about $30 a month, just for the Discovery program.

I, too, like clean shows and am disgusted with some of the shows, which are turned off at my home.

Is it any wonder some of today's children are living out those indecent programs?

The FCC should be ashamed to show such garbage.

I still watch the "Cosbys," the "Today Show," "Price is Right," "Double Agents," "Antiques Roadshow" and other news programs. I miss the old time, clean family shows. Guess I'm living in the past.
